"...Glaetzer Malbec Cabernet Sauvignon 1996. Region: Barossa Valley.

With the decidedly unloved malbec making up 54 per cent of this blend, possibly the only one of its type Glaetzer has drawn on the Mediterranean compareson with the Barossa's cool wet winters and warm dry summers to produce a wine of that delicate cigar-box character normaly associated with Bordeaux.

Austere, elegant and intense, it is a wine of quite extraordinary character that is admirably different.
