Wallace 08: Chewy satisfactionGary Walsh, The Wine Front.comDec 2009 This year's model is 80% Shiraz with the remainder being Grenache. Juicy dark cherry and berry fruit with a little vanilla and some toasty clove spice flavours. It's full bodied, creamy and round - plump and inviting with firmish open weave tannins that are a little sandy, but attractive nonetheless. There's a touch of warmth too, but there's sufficient body to hold it. A little floral, a little meaty and a lot of chewy satisfaction. Rated: 91 Points |
